Friday, March 29th, 2024 from 4:00-9:00
Hershey's Chocolate World, Hershey PA
- Come to Hershey's Chocolate World main entrance. Check in at the Trolley ticket counter, which is the first thing on the right side of the lobby when you enter.
- For the audition, you will read from our script and sing the first verse of “You Are My Sunshine” twice; once by yourself and once with the Artistic Director singing harmony with you.
- You MUST bring to the audition a conflict calendar for May through September.
- The show is a 45-minute "historical tour" of the town of Hershey, concentrating primarily on the fascinating story of Milton and Kitty Hershey. Two actors perform ON a moving Trolley; one plays a knowledgeable, veteran tour guide; the other, a bumbling trainee named Wilbur. The actor playing Wilbur exits the Trolley at various points in the tour, re-entering as different characters from Milton Hershey’s life.
- The season runs from Saturday, May 25th to Monday, September 2th. Shifts usually consist of 4 or 5 shows. Most performers will be scheduled for 3 or 4 shifts per week. Rehearsals begin in April and will be scheduled around already existing commitments of the cast.
- WEEKENDS and HOLIDAYS ARE REQUIRED
- The performers we’re looking for should be clean-cut, in good health, and have a pleasant, outgoing personality. Singing ability is a must. A wide-open summer (schedule-wise) is a plus, and will be a factor in casting.
- The pay is competitive. Our performers earn $14.00-$16.50 per hour.
