This is the general idea...
All of our trolley shows are performed live and deliver a truly unforgettable family experience! The underlying theme of each and every show described below is the remarkable legacy of Milton S. Hershey, the founder of a chocolate empire, our beautiful town and a school for children in need.
all year:
“History and Chocolate Tasting Trolley Show”

Hershey’s remarkably rich history provides the backdrop for this truly unforgettable show. The trolley performing “conductors” take center stage and delight you with a heartwarming look at the Hershey of today and years past as we magically jump all the way back to a time before there was a town, or a chocolate factory, or even chocolate in America for that matter. (And lest we forget, throughout the entire show, you will be tasting the chocolate that made Mr. Hershey famous!)
The show lasts about 75 minutes.

for summer:
“Original Trolley Show”

You will not find another trolley experience like this one anywhere; hence, "The Original!" A family-friendly show unraveling the inspiring story of Milton Hershey’s life and his fascinating path to a chocolate empire! You’ll meet some of the important people in Mr. Hershey’s life, share their chocolate, laugh at their jokes, sing some of the good old songs with them, and marvel at just how many characters can be squeezed into one show! The whole experience lasts about 45 minutes.
This is the show that put Hershey Trolley Works on the map way back in 1988, another reason to call it "The Original” ...available from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day.

for October:
“Trick or Treat Trolley Show”

The “Trick or Treat Trolley” show is a variation of the Original Trolley Show. However, this show focuses on the joy of being a kid (don’t we all want to dress up and go trick or treating?), and the love Mr. & Mrs. Hershey had for children which led them to start Milton Hershey School, the focal point of their amazing legacy.
“Trick or Treat Trolley” shows are staged during the three weekends of Halloween in Hershey”.

for the holidays:
“Holly Jolly Trolley Show”
The Holly Jolly Trolley is a variation of the Original Trolley Show. A Hershey Wintertime show...and completely Christmas themed. PLUS... one of the characters we meet is a certain, jolly old elf who recognizes the children on the trolley from his “nice list.” We have Christmas caroling, heartwarming stories from the life of Mr. Hershey, and a present for everyone. The whole experience lasts about 40 minutes.
We’ve been staging Holly Jolly Trolley shows since the beginning! More families come back year after year after year for this show than for any other (literally...audience members come to us every year to tell us this is their 15th or 20th and even 25th year attending )! Folks who brought their kids when they were little are bringing their grandkids today. It is a fantastic family tradition.
Holly Jolly Trolley shows are scheduled only during the weekends of Christmas in Hershey. That season typically starts two weeks before Thanksgiving weekend, running on Friday nights, then all day Saturday and Sunday. During Christmas week we exclusively stage the “Holly Jolly Trolley” shows every day through and including New Year’s Day.
